Man charged after boating incident offshore near Marsyvale

    The Canadian Coast Guard and RCMP responded to the incident.

    A 59-year-old man is facing charges after an incident off the shore of Marysvale Saturday night. RCMP received a 911 call of 2 boaters needing assistance during the supper hour. The Canadian Coast Guard located the boat but one of the boaters was in the water, conscious, but unable to get back into the boat.  Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in this incident and the operator was charged with impaired operation of a vessel.
