Bay St. George RCMP have apprehended a man with a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.
Matthew Francis O’Quinn, 48, faced allegations of violating the terms of a long-term supervision order stemming from convictions related to "multiple violent offences."
On Monday, RCMP officers took O’Quinn into custody, and he is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
A Stephenville Crossing woman who was reported missing and believed to be with O’Quinn has also been located safely.

The Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue was called in to help around 10:20 yesterday morning and about 20 members of the team showed up.

RCMP find cocaine, pills, cash and more during a traffic stop near Pynn's Brook, two people charged
The driver, a 37-year-old man, and his passenger, a 29-year-old woman, were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime.
