A state of emergency has been declared in Halifax. Homes have been evacuated and dozens are burning. Premier Andrew Furey tweeted “ our thoughts are with our Atlantic cousins as they deal with these forest fires. Newfoundland Labrador water bombers are there….stay safe Nova Scotia". Various posts on social media also include people offering space for horses being evacuated.
