Off Broadway Players getting ready to present "Brightstar"

    Director Erica Green says it is from the tony awards in 2016, “If you knew my story.” It’s written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell.

    Off Broadway Players are getting set to present their fall production, which will also lead them into the Provincial Drama Festival. Titled “Bright Star,” director Erica Green says it is from the tony awards in 2016, “If you knew my story.” It’s written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Green says this Bluegrass musical has it all from the banjo, to upright bass and fiddle,  set in North Carolina during two timelines. She says about 40 people are involved in this production which takes to the stage November 14-16 at the Arts and Culture Centre starting at 8 p.m.
