Opposition calls for all party committee in light of Hydro Quebec and Churchill Falls MOU

    Tony Wakeham says “The people of this province deserve to know that the Churchill River MOU is in their best interests.”

    The leader of the opposition, Tony Wakeham, is calling for an all party committee to be formed in light of the Memorandum of Understanding between Hydro Quebec and Churchill Falls. The potential new contract for hydro electric development will be brought before the House of Assembly for debate early in the new year. Wakeham says “The people of this province deserve to know that the Churchill River MOU is in their best interests.” He says “This MOU must be about the next generation, not the next election.”
