The 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
Bay St. George RCMP have arrested a man and a woman who were driving a stolen vehicle. Cpl Jolene Garland says yesterday morning around ten o’clock in Kippens police noticed a SUV with a licence plate attached that did not belong to the vehicle. RCMP determined the SUV was stolen from Deer Lake on January 2nd. The pair had left the vehicle and tried to get away on foot but were caught a short distance away. Garland says the 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime. Both were released from custody and are set to appear in court at a later date. The man has also been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
