Poilievre says as the year ends and a new one is set to begin, he will remember the stories he ‘s heard from people who are suffering.
The man who could be Canada’s next Prime Minister has just been named “newsmaker of the year” by the Canadian Press. Pierre Poilievre is leading in the latest polls. He doesn’t think about the recognition much but is focused on doing his job. Poilievre says as the year ends and a new one is set to begin, he will remember the stories he ‘s heard from people who are suffering. He says the carbon tax costs about 14 cents a litre now and the Liberals wants to quadruple that tax to 61 cents a litre, which will drive up the cost of all goods and services. Poilievre says his common sense plan would axe the tax to bring home lower prices and use technology, not taxes, to protect the environment.
