Police find cocaine and half a kilo of suspected heroin at a traffic stop in central

    RCMP arrested a wanted man on Tuesday at a traffic stop in Grand Falls-Windsor and found cocaine and heroin. Cpl Jolene Garland says 55-year-old Florent Gaouette was stopped in the afternoon when officers noticed an unroadworthy car without insurance. They saw drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Gaouette gave police a false name but was arrested. Garland  says a search of the vehicle found a quantity of cocaine, as well as approximately a half of a kilogram of suspected heroin, which is not common here. The vehicle was seized and impounded. The investigation is continuing.
