Police say a 16-foot black Diamond Cargo enclosed utility trailer was taken around 2 a.m. on July 4th from Lethbridge.
RCMP is looking into the theft of an enclosed utility trailer and its contents that happened in Lethbridge on July 4th. Police say a 16-foot black Diamond Cargo enclosed utility trailer was taken around 2 a.m. on July 4th. RCMP say it was towed away with an unknown pickup truck from a construction site in Lethbridge. Cpl Jolene Garland says they found the trailer, but tens of thousands of dollars in tools are missing. “The utility trailer was stolen with the contents in tow dragged away by a pickup truck, “ she says. “Inside the trailer was a large amount of construction tools and equipment believed to be valued at between $20-$39 thousand worth of equipment.” Cpl Garland says some major tools have been stolen. “Some of the bigger ticketed items included a Dewalt 20V rotary laser kit, a Stihl gas powered pressure washer, a number of different saws, grinders, and mowers, you name it,” she says. “It’s a huge list of items that are missing.” On July 6th, the empty trailer was recovered in a wooded area in Littl Catalina. The tools were not recovered.
