A driver near Rocky Harbour was clocked doing nearly 170 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
Rocky Harbour RCMP were called out to a report of an excessive speeder on July 7th. Police say the driver was traveling at 169 km/h on Route 430, in a 90 km/h zone. Cpl Jolene Garland says high speeds put everyone at risk and drivers could also face criminal charges. In this case, the driver was ticketed and received a license suspension. The car was seized and impounded.
