A driver near Rocky Harbour was clocked doing nearly 170 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
Rocky Harbour RCMP were called out to a report of an excessive speeder on July 7th. Police say the driver was traveling at 169 km/h on Route 430, in a 90 km/h zone. Cpl Jolene Garland says high speeds put everyone at risk and drivers could also face criminal charges. In this case, the driver was ticketed and received a license suspension. The car was seized and impounded.

Shortly after 6 pm on July 20, RCMP officers conducting patrols in the East Street area of St.Anthony stopped a vehicle with an expired registration.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on July 20, an officer with RCMP Traffic Services West observed a vehicle travelling at speeds up to 132 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Route 430, south of Rocky Harbour.
Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP arrests impaired driver
Shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday evening, police conducting a traffic enforcement observed a vehicle travelling well under the posted speed limit. The driver showed signs of impairment and later failed a roadside screening
