There's a "She Can Soccer Camp" coming up later this month in Corner Brook designed to get more girls ages 9-13 involved with the sport. The goal is to have 70 girls registrated and spots are filling quickly. Once of the organizers, Brook Evoy, dropped into Bay Fm to talk with Lenny Benoit about it. Evoy says the Corner Brook Minor Soccer Association has donated the field so this is a free two day event. She says her friend got in touch with her about the idea.
Evoy says they are still looking for more sponsors.
The "She Can Soccer Camp" will take place Tuesday and Wednesday August 27 & 28 at Doug Sweetapple Field
