The Sierra Club Canada is in Corner Brook for an informal meeting on the emissions cap, wildfires, and climate solutions. Qalipu First Nations Chief Jenny Brake and Rachel Jekanowski of Memorial University will be the guest speakers. The club feels that as a community, “we have the power to hold wealthy oil and gas corporations accountable to doing their fair share to cut emissions as Canada's most polluting corporations.” Tonight’s event gets underway 7 p.m. at Bootleg Brw on West Street.
