Six teachers from throughout the province were recognized yesterday as recipients of the 2024 Premier's Award for Innovation in teaching and the Minister’s award for compassion in teaching. Numerous nominations were accepted this year and officials say it was not an easy task to narrow the list down. Premier Andrew Furey says teaching is definitely a true calling.
