Some social media groups are on a mission to deliver a petition to the House of Assembly asking for a 6 month wait before any wind turbine projects are allowed. Government has set tomorrow, October 11th as the deadline for public comment on environment impacts statements, specifically the one tabled by World Energy GH2. Brenda Kitchen is with the facebook group, “No wind turbines on the Port au Port Peninsula,” and “Protect NL.” Kitchen spent the afternoon at the Corner Brook Plaza yesterday handing out signs and information while collecting signatures.
