The vendor will also attend court appearances which will free up time spent by police officers.

Speed cameras will soon be installed in this province. Digital Government and Service NL Minister, Sarah Stoodley, says most of these will be installed on the Avalon. She says a request for proposals will be issued soon and ten cameras will go up. Cameras will be maintained by the vendor which gives them the right to issue tickets to registered owners in the mail. Stoodley says first time offenders will face a fine of at least $200. She says the goal is to make people slow down. The vendor will also attend court appearances which will free up time spent by police officers.
