The new hospital will be named Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
NL Health Services has provided an update on the name of the new hospital in Corner Brook; it will keep the old name. After consultation with community partners and advisors, and a survey with employees and the public, there was strong support to carry forward the name of the current hospital. The new hospital will be named Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

Corner Brook replies to public concerns about a water main repair and recent illnesses
After a repair on December 27th, and on January 3rd, the city got an anonymous call concerned about the repairs and recent illnesses in the community.
Bay St. George RCMP looking into theft of trailer from Middle Barachois River
The trailer is a 19-foot enclosed trailer, with a three-foot extension on the back, plywood sides and tarps covering the roof. It has an Alberta licence plate (6PE0-20).
