The group consists of Riley Jenkins, Jack Kendrick, Andrew Gillard, Hunter Gillis and Ally Hancock.
They are recent graduates of Corner Brook Regional High and only formed a band last year, but the Raymond Heights are taking their music to the next level. The group consists of Riley Jenkins, Jack Kendrick, Andrew Gillard, Hunter Gillis and Ally Hancock. The Raymond Heights took some time to drop into the Bayfm studios for a chat with Dean Clarke on “Scoffs and Scuffs.” Jenkins says the name came easy to them during a jam session since they played in Andrew’s grandfather’s basement on Raymond Heights.
The band plans to do another show at the RAC this summer and will be playing at the Saltbox in Benoit’s Cove. Jenkins says he will be taking a paramedicine course in Stephenville, Gillis and Kendrick are working on degrees at Grenfell, and Gillard is heading out to do Sports Management. They still plan to do what they can over the fall to continue and have a show during Christmas. The Raymond Heights play a lot of traditional music, getting inspiration from groups like Shanneyganook.
