Work is continuing on a sinkhole outside of Bayfm after a 62 inch diameter pipe gave way nearly 3 weeks ago. Rod Follett is the Supervisor of Public Works with the City of Corner Brook. He says the damaged pipe was removed Tuesday and the area should be backfilled and open to walkers by the end of next Friday. Follett says there won’t be any sod work but it should be open to the public soon. Follett says they want to make sure there are strong joints and connections.
