Tourism numbers in NL have recovered reaching pre-pandemic levels

• 64 year old man dies after a collision with a moose on the TCH near Goobies last night

  Shortly after 7:00 p.m. RCMP received the report of the collision involving a moose and two vehicles.

• RCMP find remains of missing man in the debris of a fire at the Deer Lake Driftwood Inn

  RCMP did report a missing 77 year old man named Eugene Earl Spoon from Kansas who was in the area on a hunting trip and had been a guest at the Inn.

• New Recreation Centre in Corner Brook should be completed by the end of this year

  Delivery of the slide is expected in the next 25 days.  Deficiencies are anticipated to be rectified by mid-December.

• Not-for-profit groups called on to operate site locations for pre-kindergarten programming

  Pre-kindergarten locations have opened in phases and will create more than 3,000 regulated child care spaces in communities by March 31, 2026.
