Two Corner Brook teachers have been recognized for their efforts. Emcee Margaret Reha-Taylor announced recipients of the Premier’s Award for Innovation in Teaching. She says Bridgette White recently retired as assistant principal at C.C.Loughlin school and has always been considered as one of the lead technology teachers. Jill Rose introduced the recipients of the Minister’s Award for Compassion in Teaching, which included Perry Hann of Corner Brook Regional High. She says Hann has played a big role in the breakfast program. These awards recognize inspirational and compassionate teachers who have gone above and beyond to support the social, emotional and mental health of their students, colleagues or school community as a whole.
