A couple of well-known people from the Corner Brook area have been appointed to the Board of Regents at Memorial University. Qalipu First Nations Chief Brendan Mitchell, who also holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Memorial University. Also, Nathalie Pender, who was born in Paris and has been teaching French as a second language for more than 20 years. Her current research is about the degenderization of language (English and French). Seven people were appointed to MUN’s Board of Regents for a 3-year term.
