Premier Andrew Furey says this is a time to stand united against U.S. imposed tariffs on Canadian goods, and President Trump is a bully.

If you’re looking to buy a bottle of bourbon today you won’t find it on the shelves of any stores in this province. That’s because Bourbon is only made in Kentucky in the USA and at midnight last night, NLC stores started taking down products made in the states. Premier Andrew Furey says this is a time to stand united against U.S. imposed tariffs on Canadian goods, and President Trump is a bully. Other provinces like B.C., Ontario and Nova Scotia have also removed US produced products from liquor stores. Furey says the removal is equal to about $26 million dollars a year but it’s something we must do. Meanwhile, the Premier is set to unveil details today of an awareness campaign to help encourage residents to buy products from Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada.
