    West coast schools stay closed for the day

    All schools in Corner Brook, Templeton, Pasadena, Deer Lake, Benoits Cove and Lark Harbour closed for the day due to weather conditions.

    An extreme cold snap is hitting parts of the province today including Corner Brook and area. All schools in Corner Brook, Templeton, Pasadena, Deer Lake, Benoits Cove and Lark Harbour closed for the day due to weather conditions. Schools in Labrador West also closed where wind chills in the minus forties are expected. The overnight low for the Northern Peninsula is minus 21 with a wind chill of minus 35.
