Shine-a-rama is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It’s an annual fundraiser by the Western Regional School of Nursing in support of Cystic Fibrosis. Coordinator Rihanna Sheppard says research is underway to find a cure for CF and in the seventies they found the gene that causes this disease. Hope Evoy is also one of the coordinators and says it all takes place October 5th from 11-5 p.m. at the Corner Brook Plaza. Shine-a-rama has a goal of raising $5,000 this year.
