Leet says they’re confident the environmental impact statement they presented is sufficient and they worked on it for 15 months.
World Energy GH2 CEO Sean Leet says they’ve been working since December of 2021 when the partners decided to take a risk on this new wind hydrogen industry, and establish the project and the province as a first mover. Leet says they’re confident the environmental impact statement they presented is sufficient and they worked on it for 15 months. He says they’re also waiting in an agreement with an offtaker or customer before construction begins. In the meantime, Leet says there is work ongoing in the area. He says at the peak of construction they will need about 2200 workers and there will be about 4500 indirect jobs. Once construction is complete there will be upwards of 400 long term permanent jobs.
