Would be corrections officers can qualify for funding

    Government has announced up to $130, 000 for 13 confirmed seats through a partnership with the Atlantic Police Academy.

    Anyone looking at a career in corrections now has a chance to get the training at a reduced cost. Government has announced up to $130, 000 for 13 confirmed seats through a partnership with the Atlantic Police Academy. The Correctional Officer Certificate program is offered at the academy in Prince  Edward Island. The deadline to apply for the program is Friday, August 11th. Applicants must meet recruitment requirements, commit to a return in service agreement, and successfully complete all stages of the screening process. The Correctional Officer Certificate program at the Atlantic Police Academy begins in January 2024.
