    There aren’t many people in Corner Brook who haven’t heard of Priscilla Boutcher. First elected in 1981 and the only female Mayor of Corner Brook, Boutcher recently celebrated her 90th birthday. In celebration there was an Open House on Sunday afternoon October 20 in the main atrium of city hall.Councillor Pam Gill says she has been a mentor since she came to Corner Brook to work at the Western Star. She spoke by phone with Lenny Benoit on Bay Fm and said it wasn't easy being a female on council but Priscilla paved the path.
