RCMP Traffic Services West is reminding motorists to be safe during today’s solar eclipse. Cst Derek Hayden says drivers need to be aware that it will become dark between 4 and 6 today. He says it’s a good idea to use a visor to block out the event if you are driving and focus on the road. There will be a public viewing at the Corner Brook Plaza between 4 and 6 pm and there will be free eclipse viewing glasses at the event.
