The riding covers the west coast of the island from Channel-Port aux Basques and Burgeo in the south, to St. Anthony and L'Anse aux Meadows in the north.

The polymeric beads were listed as dangerous goods but a major concern now is getting the 1.7 million litres of fuel removed safely from the ship.

The statement reads, “ Weather conditions in the past few months have been difficult causing unsafe conditions on roads and sidewalks for delivery agents to deliver to customers. "

Roads will remain open for snowmobile and all-terrain vehicle use.

The town of Cape St. George is getting $9,000 for a francophone tourism initiative and Stephenville is getting $10,000 for bilingual street signage in the town.  

Humber Arm South will be doing upgrades on the storm sewer system and will construct a new chlorination building, while across the bay in Meadows they’ll be replacing the lift station and McIvers will be working on the water treatments system.
