Cpl Jolene Garland says a  number of various online and telephone scams remain in circulation, as well as local scams on buy and sell sites and reports of fraudulent credit card use.

Municipalities, not-for-profit groups and Indigenous governments and communities are eligible to apply for up to $100,000 towards accessible and inclusive community-based transportation programs.

In one case, a  resident did not return from a routine walk and was found dead later that day. Another resident was administered multiple medications of another resident and died as the result of accidental overdose. 

There will also be no regular collection during red alerts.

Dan Bursey is a member of the board. He says they’ve helped over 100 families in the past 7 years by raising half a million dollars, mostly in western NL. 

Short courses include firearm and archery basics, outdoor cooking, fishing basics, preserving wild foods, orienteering, hiking and backpacking, chainsaw safety, and wildlife photography.
